The Hawaii Department of Transportation has two projects planned on the Hana Highway this coming week.   Both projects involve pavement work and will result in intermittent single lane closures.

Crews are working to daily to pave a section of road between Huelo and Kolea on the Hana Highway (Route 360).  There will be intermittent alternating single lane closures in both directions of the highway between Mile Marker 6.5 near the Nailiilihaele Stream Bridge and Mile Marker 4.5 near the Hoalua Stream Bridge.  Work will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

State workers will also conduct pavement marking along a two mile stretch of the Highway between Mile Marker 29 near the Oilowai Stream Bridge and Mile Marker 31 near Hauoli lio Ranch Trail Rides in Kalahu.  Work will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
