Dr. Lyons To Speak at April 7 County Wellness Fair

Dr. Dwight Lyons will speak at the Maui County Workplace Wellness Fair which is scheduled for April 7th from 10 am until 2 pm.   Dr.  Lyons will speak from noon to 12:30 pm in the Mayor’s Lounge.

The Fair will be held at the Kalana O Maui Building at 200 S. High Street in Wailuku.

Dr. Lyons will provide an educational talk underscoring the role of nutrition and exercise in promoting health, cancer prevention and cancer managment. 

A graduate of Stanford School of Medicine, Dr. Lyons completed his surgical residency at Johns Hopkins and Wayne State University Affiliated  Hospitals.  Dr. Lyons is a surgeon with Maui Medical Group.

The Workplace Wellness Fair is part of Mayor Alan Arakawa’s ongoing Health and Wellness Program.  It is co-sponsored by Maui Nutrition and Physical Activity Coalition, the Maui Districe Health Office and the Communities Putting Prevention to Work grant.   The event will include wellness offerings from over 20 local businesses and community programs.
