No Tsunami Threat to Hawaii Following 7.1 Japan Quake

A large earthquake in Japan early this morning did not trigger a tsunami threat to Hawaii. The quake occurred in the same Honshu region of the country as the destructive March 11th quake. The 7.1 magnitude earthquake was reported shortly after 4:30 Hawaii time this morning.
