Road Advisory: Hana Highway near Paihi Stream

Motorists are advised of a road closure on the Hana Highway near Mile Post 30. The closure went into effect at 8 a.m. in the area near Paihi Stream. Authorities say the the road was washed out at the location.

Crews from the County Department of Public Works are conducting flood assessment at this time beginning on the Ulupalakua side of Paihi Stream.

Crews have since posted signage near Mile Posts 16 and 40 to alert approaching motorists of the closed area ahead.
