Maui Ranked the Best Beach Destination Worldwide By U.S. News

The U.S. News Media Group has ranked Maui the Best Beach Destination and the Best Beach Honeymoon Destination worldwide.
Overall, Maui ranked 6th in the Best U.S. Destination and 4th in the Best Summer Vacation categories. San Francisco ranked #1 in both categories.
In U.S. rankings only, Maui was ranked the Best U.S. Luxury Destination, followed by New York City and the Big Island. Maui was also ranked the Best Family Beach Vacations in the USA and the Best Beaches in the USA. And the second Best Romantic Getaways in the USA.
The U.S. News Media Group has ranked Maui the Best U.S. Destination and also the Best Summer Destination.
The 2011-2012 edition of the U.S. News Media Group rankings reflect how strongly a destination is recommended by both published travel writers and U.S. News Travel website users.
In total, 49 U.S. and 35 European destinations were ranked, and additional regions, including Mexico and the Caribbean, will receive official rankings later in the year.
“Planning a vacation can be enjoyable,” said Chad Smolinski, Vice President of Rankings and Reviews at U.S. News & World Report, “But it can be difficult to choose the best spot to spend your precious time and money. Our goal with the new rankings is to provide easy-to-use guidance based on what others have experienced in their own travels.”
