Kalo: Through the Eyes of a Hawaiian, with Hōkūao Pellegrino

The unique varieties and extraordinary significance of kalo (taro) in Hawai’i comes to life through the eyes of Hawaiian kalo farmer, Hōkūao Pellegrino.
Pelegrino will lead a kalo workshop at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens on Saturday, June 4th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to pound kalo into poi and try a fresh sample from the Gardens.

The workshop is made possible through a partnership with the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority.
