Maui Roadwork Planned in Kula and Maalaea

Two state projects are expected to impact traffic on Maui next week.

Kula Highway Road Resurfacing:

The state Department of Transportation will conduct road resurfacing work on the Kula Highway next week.

The project will result in alternating single lane closures in both directions on the Kula Highway between Keoni Place and Hoopalua Drive.

The work period runs from Monday, November 14, to Friday, November 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

State construction crews continue work on the construction of water lines, sewer lines, and a water treatment facility at Maalaea Harbor.

The project has resulted in the continuous closure of the Maalaea Boat Harbor Road from the south Honoapiilani Highway entrance to Hauoli Road.

The closure will remain in place through the end of this month.

Signs indicating alternate routes are posted in the area.
