Body of Stand-up Paddle Boarder Recovered in Maui Waters

The body of a male visitor was pulled from the waters off South Maui today, about an hour after he was reported missing.
Crews from the Maui Police Department, Maui Fire Department, and County Life Guards were called to the scene at 11:11 a.m. in response to a report of the missing stand up paddle boarder in the area of Charlie Young Beach.
At about 12:15 p.m., rescue personnel retrieved the body of a 42 year old visitor from Washington State.
The man was transported to the Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition and later expired, according to Maui Police Lt. Wayne Ibarra.

Maui police identified the man as Xivbin Zeng, 42, of Sammamish, WA.
