Maui Medevac crews transported a critical trauma patient from the east end of Molokai to the Maui Memorial Medical Center today.

The male patient sustained multiple traumatic injuries to his extremities and chest as a result of a single-vehicle rollover accident.

Paramedics from Medic 8 and firefighters from Engine 4 responded to the scene to assist the patient, who was trapped within the vehicle.

Maui Medevac, operated by American Medical Response and Pacific Helicopters transported the patient to the new helipad at the hospital.

The transport is the 23rd activation of the Medevac unit this year.
