New Grant Funds Available for Hawaii Exports
By Sonia Isotov
The Hawaii Pacific Export Council (HPEC) has secured new grant funding to help Maui businesses grow their global business.
Funds are now available through two programs administered by HPEC: the State Trade & Export Promotion (STEP) program and Year II Specialty Crop program. Both programs offer additional training opportunities and the chance to meet face-to-face with potential buyers, distributors, and partners in overseas markets.
To acquaint exporters with these opportunities, HPEC will hold a special orientation seminar at the Hawaii Foreign Trade Zone #9 in Honolulu on Friday, February 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The cost is free. One-to-one appointments with HPEC consultants will begin at 2:00 p.m. and last 20 minutes per company.
Consultants are available to discuss your international strategy, answer export questions, and give assistance in filling out the paperwork required to participate in these exciting programs.
Neighbor Island businesses may also participate via online webinar and one-to-one counseling sessions by phone.
Register for the seminar by email to [email protected], you will need to submit the registration form. If you are unable to attend the seminar, but would like to participate in the online webinar and receive counseling by phone, you will need to email the registration form by Friday, February 24 to [email protected].
