12 Vehicle Thefts on Maui Feb. 12 to 18, 2012

There were a total of 12 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between February 12 and 18, 2012.

The incidents were spread throughout different districts including four incidents in Kahului, two in Kihei, and two in Wailuku.  A variety of vehicles were stolen, including three Honda Accords, and two Toyota Hilux sedans.

Five of the vehicles have since been recovered.

Kahului:

• Tuesday, February 14, 2012, 6:13 p.m.:  Kaa Street at Palapala Drive.  1991 White Toyota Tacoma.  Lic#: LBC937, VIN#: JT4RN81A0M0073681.  RECOVERED.

• Thursday, February 16, 2012, 5 p.m.:  Kea Street.  1992 White Honda Accord.  Lic#: LBX790, VIN#: 1HGCB7656NA110752

Kihei:

• Tuesday, February 14, 2012, 10 p.m.:  South Kihei road at Paradise Gardens apartments.  2011 Black/Silver King Ring moped.  VIN#: LJ5LT8030B1080100
• Tuesday, February 14, 2012, 11 p.m.:  Kupuna Street.  Pink/White Dayang moped.

Lahaina:

• Thursday, February 16, 2012, 9:37 a.m.:  Honoapiilani Highway near mile marker 30.  2011 Green Subaru Impreza.  Lic#: LBS271, VIN#: JF1GE6A65BH508867

Makawao:

• Tuesday, February 14, 2012, 6:55 p.m.:  Makawao Avenue, at the Sea Glass Shop.  1994 Blue Honda Accord.  VIN#: 1HGCD7235RA004121.  RECOVERED.

• Friday, February 17, 2012, 5:30 p.m.:  Hana Highway at the Paia Bay Park.  1996 Green Nissan Pathfinder.  Lic#: GJV963, VIN#:  JN8AR05S3TW000875

Waiehu:
