Maui Volunteer Facilitators Sought for Health Workshops
By Maui Now Staff
The County of Maui Department of Housing and Human Concerns Office on Aging is seeking volunteer facilitators for its healthy living program, “Better Choices Better Health.”
A four-day facilitator training session is planned for June.
There will also be a briefing from 2 to 3:30 p.m., on Friday, April 27 in room 602 at One Main Plaza in Wailuku. During the briefing, organizers will explain training details, facilitator expectations and requirements.
Better Choices Better Health workshops are a Stanford University, evidence-based, community-centered program.
Workshops provide practical information, tools, and support to people who are interested in incorporating healthier habits into their lives. The program also helps people with chronic conditions better manage their health.
To register for the briefing, or for more information regarding the training, call Better Choices Better Health Maui County Coordinator Robin Pilus at 281-0094.
