Real Property Tax Sale Auction Set for Tuesday May 22, 2012

The County of Maui, Department of Finance will hold a real property tax sale auction on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Kihei Community Center.

Properties being sold have been delinquent for three or more years and have received a final notice of tax sale.

As of April 30, 2012, eleven properties were scheduled to be sold at auction.

Properties will be removed from the tax sale list if all taxes, penalties, interest and costs have been paid in full prior to the date of the sale.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, with opening remarks at 9 a.m. and the auction set to begin at 9:30 a.m. County officials say the sale may continue on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 if necessary.
