Economic Development Grant Procedures Explained at Workshop

The County of Maui’s Office of Economic Development (OED) will be holding two workshops to review the new OED grant application and procedures.

The Office of Economic will be holding two meetings to review the new OED grant application and procedures on June 13 and June 19 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Hawaii Maui College Laulima Building in Room #102.

The Office of Economic Development awards grants on an annual basis to non-profit organizations and events that promote diversity and growth within the economy.

The following criteria are applied to grant selection:

Grant application and procedures will become available through the website around the middle of June.

Molokai, Lanai and Hana residents do not need to travel to Kahului for one of these workshops as the county will offer workshops at these locations in the near future.

Grantees or anyone interested in applying for this grant funding needs to attend one of these two meetings and must register for this course by contacting OED at 270-7710. There is no charge for the workshop, but pre-registration is required. More information is available online at OED’s Grants web page [2].
