Restaurant Week Wailea Raises $4,500 for Maui Food Bank

Wailea Community Association’s General Manager, Bud Pikrone, presented checks totaling over $4,500 to Marlene Rice, Development Director for the Maui Food Bank from their recent “Restaurant Week Wailea” promotion.

Wailea Resort launched its sixth resort-wide restaurant event to raise funds for the Maui Food Bank while showcasing the resort’s dining venues.

“Each participating restaurant agreed to make a contribution to the Maui Food Bank for every prix-fixe entrée sold during Restaurant Week Wailea.  The response has been an overwhelming success, not just for the restaurants but the local community, visitors and, of course, the Maui Food Bank” said Pikrone, in a written statement. “We look forward to doing it again this November!”

The following Wailea Resort restaurants participated and contributed to the Maui Food Bank:  Capische, DUO Steak & Seafood , Gannon’s, KAI Wailea, Kō, Spago,  Joe’s Bar & Grill, Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, KAI Wailea, Longhi’s Wailea,  Mala Wailea, Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman, Mulligan’s on the Blue, Nick’s Fishmarket Maui, Pita Paradise Bistro Wailea, Ruth’s Chris Steak House Wailea, and Tommy Bahamas Restaurant & Bar.
