Mayor Visits Kihei in County on Your Corner Event

Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa hosts the latest edition of County on Your Corner today at the Kihei Community Center.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and is being held in conjunction with the 15th Annual First Hawaiian Bank Prime Time Wellness Fair.

Joining the mayor at today’s event will be Housing and Human Concerns Director, JoAnn Ridao, and Deputy Director Jan Shishido.

County on Your Corner is an event that is scheduled in a different location each month.  It was organized as a way for the administration to interact with the community on issues of importance to them.

The First Hawaiian Bank Maui Prime Time Wellness Fair will feature 37 exhibitor booths, providing the latest trends and information on health.

There will be free health screenings for glucose and cholesterol, nutritional screenings, demonstrations on fitness, as well as door prizes and games throughout the day.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with an opening ceremony set to start at 8:15 a.m.

Admission is free and open to the public.
