First Hawaiian Bank hosts its 38th Annual Maui County Business Outlook Forum on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Maui Beach Hotel in Kahului.

Laney’s forecast last year for Maui called for a “mixed bag,” with a strong showing in the visitor industry, but weakness in other sectors including the construction industry.

That will be followed by a presentation entitled, “U. S. & Global Economic Forecast” led by Dr. Jack Suyderhoud, Professor of Business Economics at Shidler College of Business, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

The forum begins with registration at 7:30 a.m., followed by continental breakfast at 8 a.m., and the presentations scheduled from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Elleair Rainbow Ballroom.
