Grammy award-winning musicians Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald, and Boz Scaggs join forces on the stage of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center as The Dukes of September Rhythm Revue.
The trio perform together in Hawai‘i for the first time with their nine-piece ensemble band on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 7 p.m.
Each individual brings a unique style to the stage with and a list of hits that have become familiar over the years.
Donald Fagen of Steely Dan is known for such hits as “Reelin’ in the Years,” “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number,” “Do It Again,” “I.G.Y. (What A Beautiful World)” and “New Frontier.”
Michael McDonald, a solo artist and formerly with The Doobie Brothers brings chart-topping favorites like: “It Keeps You Running,” “Minute by Minute,” “Takin’ It to The Streets,” “What A Fool Believes” and “I Keep Forgettin.”
Some of the favorites from legendary front-man Boz Scaggs includes “Lowdown,” “JoJo,” “Lido Shuffle,” “Harbor Lights,” “Georgia” and “We’re All Alone.”
The three will perform individual classics and tributes along with an ensemble band that includes Jon Herington (guitar); Freddie Washington (bass); Shannon Forest (drums); Michael Leonhart, Walt Weiskopf and Jay Collins (horns); Jim Beard (organ); and background singers Carolyn Leonhart and Catherine Russell.
Donald Fagan, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs also appear on O‘ahu on Wednesday, October 24 in the Blaisdell Concert Hall.
The Maui performance will utilize the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Yokouchi Pavilion / A&B Amphitheater.
Tickets on Maui are $55, $85, $95, with a limited number of premium seats at $149 (plus applicable fees). Tickets go on sale to MACC members on Saturday, August 25 at 10 a.m. Sale to the general public starts Friday, August 31 at 10 a.m.
