A High Surf Warning remains in effect for the north and west facing shores of Molokai, Niihau, Kauai and Oahu; and the north facing shores of Maui.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service say the large northwest swell will continue today and slowly subside tonight into Thursday.

Surf is expected to be 20 to 30 feet along the north facing shores, and 15 to 20 feet along the west facing shores of affected islands.

The Warning will remain in effect until 6 p.m. tonight.

There is also a Small Craft Advisory in effect for rough seas of 10 feet affecting island waters from Kauai to Maui County.

The National Weather Service says the ocean conditions will be rough with hazardous rip currents. This will result in very dangerous swimming conditions and battering waves along the affected shorelines.
