Application Deadline Nears for Molokai Plan Committee

Individuals interested in applying for a position on the Molokai Community Plan Advisory Committee have until tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13, 2012, to submit an application.

Applications should be received or postmarked by 4:30 p.m.  The policy committee will meet soon thereafter to consider appointments.

Policy Committee Chair Riki Hokama encouraged Molokai residents to apply and provided additional information on the CPAC.

By county ordinance, nine of the 13 members are to be appointed by the council, while four are appointed by the mayor. To be eligible, applicants must be a resident of the island of Molokai. Experience in land use planning is helpful, but not required.

Application forms and a general information is available at the County of Maui website in the Policy Committee section under Items of Interest.   The application form and information sheet are also available at the Molokai Council Office, located at 100 Ainoa Street, Kaunakakai.
