BRIEF: Power Restored in East & Upcountry Maui

A brief power outage knocked out electricity to parts of Pukalani, Kula, Makawao, Haiku, Peahi, and Hana this morning.

The outage was first reported at 7:03 a.m. on Wednesday Jan. 2, 2013.

Officials with Maui Electric Company say power was restored to all affected areas by 7:45 a.m.

The cause of the outage was under investigation.
