Hawaii Federal Credit Union Launches Scholarship Program

Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) announced today the launch of its 18th annual scholarship program.

Members and dependents of Hawaii State FCU attending a university, college or trade/vocational school can apply for a $2,000 scholarship. 15 scholarships will be given out based on financial need, academic merit and extra-curricular activities.

Since 1996, the Hawaii State FCU scholarship program has awarded more than $419,000 to help members pursue a higher education.

Applicants must submit an application form, along with most recent official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a personal essay, student aid report, and a list of personal achievements and community service participation.

Applications can be downloaded at http://www.hsfcu.com/scholarship or picked up at any Hawaii State FCU branch location. The Maui Branch is located in Triangle Square in Kahului at 425 Koloa Street. Applications will be accepted January 1through March 30, 2013.
