Native Hawaiian Scholarship Series Continues

The University of Hawai‘i is reaching out to Native Hawaiians across the state who want to pursue a college education. The effort is part of a statewide initiative to bring Native Hawaiian scholarship opportunities to under-served communities.
The Native Hawaiian Scholarship ‘Aha includes a series of free presentations for high school students, parents, teachers, and current college students, who are interested in learning about financial aid.
Presentations have already been held in Kahului on December 12th and on Molokai. There are two more meetings on tap for Maui County locations including one tonight in Hana. Details are as follows:
- Hana: Hana School Cafeteria. 6 to 8 p.m., January 9, 2013.
- Lāna‘i: Lāna‘i School Cafeteria. 6 to 8 p.m., January 16, 2013
Additional meetings are planned through the end of the month on O’ahu at the following times and locations:
- Waimānalo: Ka Ho‘oilina Na Kuhio Community Center. 6 to 8 p.m., January 10, 2013
- Kapolei: UH West O‘ahu, Student Center. 6 to 8 p.m., January 15, 2013
- Papakōlea: Roosevelt High School Cafeteria. 5:30 to 8 p.m., January 22, 2013
- Pearl City / ‘Ewa: Leeward Community College, Campus Center. 3 to 5 p.m., January 23, 2013
- Kaimuki / Kahala: Kapi ‘olani Community College, Dining Hall. 6 to 8 p.m., January 24, 2013
