New Provisional Waiver Reform Topic of Immigration Meeting

The Kareneva Law Firm PLLC and the County of Maui Immigrant Services Division will hold a free informational meeting on immigration, especially the new provisional waiver reform on Thursday, Jan. 24.

The public is invited to attend this free session that will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Lahaina at the Kaunoa West Maui Senior Center, 788 Pauoa Street (off Lahainaluna).

Topics to be covered include the new provisional waiver reform recently passed on Jan. 2, 2013, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), along with an overview of immigration law updates and a question-and-answer session.

Speakers include Elena Kareneva, an immigration attorney; and Kevin Block, JD, the director of Immigrant Services, County of Maui Department of Housing and Human Concerns; and Leonardo Sequeira of Maui Economic Opportunity’s Enlace Hispano program.
