Hawai‘i Health Connector, the new health insurance exchange, is getting closer to opening and today announced that it has released a request for proposals for a vendor to provide high-volume printing and mailing.

The nonprofit State-based exchange, which is scheduled to open October 2013, is seeking a qualified vendor that can print and mail approximately 10,000 invoices and notices on a monthly basis.

“The Connector has a purpose throughout the state to make the purchase of health insurance accessible and easy,” said Coral Andrews, executive director of Hawai‘i Health Connector, in a media announcement today.

“Reliable, efficient mailings and communications will help ensure our success.”

The vendor should be additionally prepared to print and mail a variable number of appeals, notices, and advertising pieces to mailing lists that will be provided.
