Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center today became the first shopping center on Maui to offer free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) access to its patrons, according to an announcement by a spokesperson for the shopping center.
“Maui is mobile,” said Todd A. Vines, the marketing manager for Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center, in a media release today.
“We’re always creating ways to make the shopping experience more engaging. For us, offering the convenience of free Wi-Fi is a natural evolution.”
Vines said any wireless-enabled laptop or mobile device can access the internet via the “Queen K WiFi” network, allowing patrons to stay connected throughout the center, including the food court and children’s play area. He added that Wi-Fi users will also have access to exclusive offers and promotions.
