Serino’s Pizza Taking Over Backstreet Space in Kihei

Serino’s Pizza, a Waikiki-based restaurant, is planning to open a second location in Kihei, according to a news report in the Pacific Business News.

The new restaurant will be located in the old Backstreet Cafe space at Azeka Mall, which was originally the location of an IHOP restaurant many years ago.

Dana Serino, the co-owner of Serino’s Pizza, along with her husband Christian Serino, told the Pacific Business News that their restaurant should be open by April 25. Serino’s Pizza specializes in gourmet burgers, pizzas, signature sandwiches and wings.

Apparently, the owners plan to hire about 30 employees and could open a third restaurant on Maui or Oahu by the end of the year.
