South Shore Surf Remains Elevated

A swell will continue to bring advisory level surf to the south facing shores of the Hawaiian islands today.
The National Weather Service continued an advisory until 6 p.m., with forecasts for surf to be in the 6- to 9-foot range along affected shorelines.

Forecasters say the swell will produce rip currents and localized beach erosion.
Beach goers are advised to expect large breaking waves and strong currents that forecasters with the NWS say can make swimming difficult and dangerous.
