This Friday night, join Montessori School of Maui for a special 21 and over benefit Halloween costume party.

“Ghoulin Rouge” starts at 6 p.m. (5 p.m. for VIP ticket holders) and goes until 10 p.m.

This year’s event theme takes the annual Halloween costume party to the sultry New Orleans French Quarter.

Attendees are encouraged to don their most outrageous costumes as there will be a contest with a chance to win a two-night stay at the Grand Wailea.

Prepare to partake in gourmet pupus and fancy libations with entertainment provided by Mark Johnstone’s Jazz Trio followed by a DJ dance party by Valerie the Vibe Goddess.

Tickets are $100 with $45 of that being tax deductible.

One Benjamin grants you unlimited access to the “N’awlins-style buffet,” two drink tickets for boutique handcrafted artisan cocktails, wine or beer; a silent auction and a free psychic reading.

Learning what your future holds probably runs $100 anyway, so there you go.

Thomas Daubert, the Montessori School Maui’s development director, explained that the full buffet includes homemade artisan French baguettes and coconut creole bread, Kupa’a Farms vegetable salad and Maui grown beef po’ boys.

There will also be Upcountry gumbo z’herbe, spicy sweet red beans and rice, and blackened Cajun spiced fish.

For dessert, feast on apple and raisin three-bread pudding, homemade French quarter beignets, and house spun Maui vanilla bean ice cream.

VIP tickets are available for $200, half of which is tax deductible.

That extra contribution buys you unlimited cocktails.

VIP ticket holders also gain access to the exclusive VIP lounge in the RFC all night long, first call for silent auction bidding and access to the VIP raw bar reception.

At the raw bar, Daubert promises you can expect hand-shucked oysters on the half shell, cured Pacific salmon, fresh fish crudo, coconut crudo and tomato gazapacho

The silent auction offers several premier items such as a two night “staycation” featuring two nights the Ritz Carlton Kapalua, dinner at Merriman’s and a gift certificate to the Plantation House Restaurant.

Other offerings include a pop-up party at the Kapalua Cliff House, a Hawaiian quilt, an Abbey Romancheck original print and a two-night stay at the new Andaz Resort in Wailea.

Gloulin Rouge is being held on the school’s grounds in Makawao and individual, VIP and VIP table tickets are available online.
