Menehune Basketball Tryouts Begin on Monday

Menehune Basketball tryouts will be held for Maui youth in grades 6-8 beginning Monday, Oct. 28, and ending on Friday, Nov. 8. Players must try out for either the district that he/she resides in or the district in which his/her school is located. The date, time and location of the tryouts will be determined by district.

Tryouts for Central District, specifically the Kahului area, will be held in the War Memorial Gym.

Girls will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 28 to Oct. 31 and from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 1. Boys will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 and from 4:30 to 6 p.m. from Nov. 4-7.

The Central District areas of Wailuku, Waikapu, Waiehu and Waihee will have tryouts in the Wailuku Gym.

Girls will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 28-30, as well as, Nov. 1 and Nov. 4. Boys will follow from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the same dates.

East District tryouts will be held in the Eddie Tam Gym.

Girls will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 28, 29 and 30, as well as, Nov. 4-5. Boys are to follow from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the same dates.

Tryouts for West District will be held from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1 from 3 to 6 p.m. Girls will be at Lahainaluna High School outdoor courts and boys will be at Malu ‘Ulu ‘Olele courts.

The South District will be holding tryouts at the Lokelani School. Boys will begin on Oct. 28 from 3:30 p.m. Girls will begin on Oct. 29 from 3:30 p.m.
