County-Wide Restroom Repairs Continue

Restroom repairs start today at Ho’okipa Beach Park as part of a county-wide improvement schedule.

During the repairs, the restrooms in the respective parks will remain closed and portable toilets will be provided for public use.

Improvements include new plumbing fixtures, and repairs to improve sanitation.

An updated schedule includes the following:

Central District

  • Kahului Community Center, Soccer Field: Re-opened Nov. 15
  • Waiheʻe Beach Park: Closed Tuesday, Nov. 12 to Sunday, Dec. 15
  • Lihikai School Park: Closed Tuesday, Nov. 12 to Thursday, Nov. 28

South District

  • Polo Beach Park: Scheduled to re-open Monday, Nov. 18
  • Kalama Park, South: Closed Thursday, Nov. 14 to Friday, Nov. 29
  • Kalama Park, playground area: Closed Monday, Nov. 25 to Monday, Dec. 9

East District

  • Haʻikū Field: Scheduled to reopen Friday, Nov. 22
  • Ho’okipa Beach Park: Closed Monday, Nov. 18 to Friday, Dec. 6
  • Lower Pāʻia Park: Closed Friday, Nov. 29 to Thursday, Dec. 12
