Maui Electronics Recycling Event This Weekend

A consumer electronics recycling event takes place this weekend in Central Maui.

The event is hosted by LG Electronics US and the Consumer Electronics Association, and is free to the public.

Items that will be accepted include: computer equipment, TVs, and mobile devices.

Event organizers say recycling is an important resource management issue, and that the plastic, metal, and glass that they are made of can be used in new products.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Baldwin High School in Wailuku.

The Consumer Electronics Association is the technology trade association representing the $203 billion US consumer electronics industry.
