Maui Lane Closures and Road Repairs Christmas Week

Road work begins today on improvements to the Puklani Bypass between the Pukalani Junction and Five Trees, according to a public notice issued by Maui Paving LLC.
Improvements include laying asphalt and installing pavement markings.
Lane closures are expected during the work period which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., today through Friday, according to the announcement.
Also in Upcountry Maui, the State Department of Transportation announced lane closures on the Haleakalā Highway in both directions between Kula Highway and Pūlehuiki Road. The road repairs includes closures in both directions, with work to run between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., today through Friday.
In West Maui, motorists are advised of ongoing work to repair ocean erosion damage that has undermined the shoulder lane foundation of the Honoapiʻilani Highway between Front Street and Kai Hele Kū Street, fronting Launiupoko State Park. The speed limit is reduced on the approach to the work zone. Motorists are also advised to expect delays and to follow all posted traffic control devices through the area.
Also on the Honoapiʻilani Highway, state crews announced a lane closure in the northbound direction between the Kuihelani Highway and Pōhaku ʻAeko Street. The lane closure is for road re-striping taking place Thursday and Friday, Dec. 26 and 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
