Siren Malfunction in Kilohana Area of Kīhei

The Maui Civil Defense agency reports a siren malfunction in the Kilohana area of South Maui.  Officials advise that there is no emergency.

The incident was reported at 10:35 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, in which an audible tone was sent.

Authorities with the County Civil Defense agency apologized for the inconvenience, and say they are looking into the cause of the malfunction.
