Motorists are advised of two road construction projects being conducted by Maui Master Builders on Wākea Avenue in Kahului that will impact traffic this week.

The first project includes work on Wākea Avenue from Kaulawahine to Puʻunēnē Avenue, from Monday, March 17, to Wednesday, March 19.

During the work period, the Puʻunēnē Avenue intersection will be open but cars will not be able to turn onto Wākea Avenue.

The second project involves work on the northbound lanes of Wākea Avenue between Kaʻahumanu Avenue and Ano Street from Wednesday, March 19, to Friday, March 21.

Vehicles will be able to use the south bound lanes on Wākea between Kaʻahaumanu Avenue and Ano Street.  Motorists will be able to make a right and left turn off of Kaʻahumanu Avenue onto Wākea Avenue, but cars will not have access onto Kaʻahumanu from Wākea during the construction period.
