Waterline Project to Close Part of Main Street, Wailuku

A waterline repair project in Wailuku will result in the closure of Main Street in Wailuku on Tuesday night, March 18, 2014, department officials announced.

Personnel from the Maui Department of Water Supply will repair the leaking waterline from 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, to 4 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

During the repairs, Main Street in Wailuku will be closed between North Church Street and Market Street.

Officials say water service will not be affected, but motorists are advised to use alternate routes and follow posted signage.

Customers should call the Department’s 24-hour service line at (808) 270-7633 only if a water emergency occurs.
