Several state transportation projects are planned this week that will result in lane closures or detours in Pukalani, Kāʻanapali, and Māʻalaea.

In Pukalani, pavement resurfacing will result in lane detours on the Haleakalā Highway in both directions between Haliʻimaile Road and Makawao Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28.  Officials with the state Department of Transportation say no lanes will be closed, but traffic lanes will be detoured around the work zone.

In Kāʻanapali, night work is planned on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in both directions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28, for road striping work.  The work will result right lane closures on the highway during the work period.

In Māʻalaea, road repairs will result in lane closures on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in both directions between the Kuihelani Highway and Kapoli Street between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Monday, March 24, to Friday, March 28.

Transportation officials say schedules may change without further notice, and all projects are weather permitting.
