Maui Students Awarded for Mentorship with Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui announced the 2014 Maui School-Based Big Brother and Big Sister of the Year: Kai’a Hill and Ryan Foree.

The mentors were credited for making a significant positive impact on their littles during the 2013-2014 school year. 

Both mentors are seniors at the Kamehameha School Maui Campus, and have been paired with their littles for two years.

Under the school-based mentoring program bigs and littles meet one-on-one in a classroom setting once per week with other mentors and children.

Hill is credited with helping little sister Ayana in focusing her energetic personality; and Foree is credited with helping his little brother Kalema to become more outgoing and talkative.
