BRIEF: Kula Community Center Daytime Closure for Re-Roofing

The county Department of Parks and Recreation says that Kula Community Center will be closed during the day beginning Monday July 7 for re-roofing of the facility.

The center, located at East Lower Kula Road, will be available for scheduled activities after 4:30 p.m. each day. Weather permitting, the facility will reopen for regular hours on July 12.

The construction contract for a new asphalt shingle roof was awarded to Certified Construction, Inc. for $62,028.

The public is asked to avoid the construction area and equipment for safety reasons. For more information, contact Paul Taylor, Parks Project Manager, at 270-6173.
