Firefighters Extinguish Kihei Brush Fire

Engine companies from Kihei and Wailea along with two fire department tankers responded to a brush fire next to Piikea Park off of Liloa Drive on Monday, July 21.

Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga said that two acres of dry brush and grass was involved.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire by 12:30 p.m., and no injuries or damages were reported, said Mainaga.
