Shane Victorino “Flyin’ Hawaiian” Cookie Gift Box to Benefit Charity

Two-time World Series Champion and Maui native, Shane Victorino has teamed up with the Honolulu Cookie Company this holiday season to support under-served children in need.

The retailer has launched a limited edition “Flyin’ Hawaiian” Gift Box, and will donate a portion of proceeds to the non-profit Shane Victorino Foundation.

“My wife, Melissa, and I are very grateful for all the support that the Honolulu Cookie Company is giving to our Foundation, which allows us to give back to communities that have given so much to us,” said Victorino, the Gold Glove right fielder for the Boston Red Sox in a press release statement.

In a career that has included playing for the San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers, the St. Anthony graduate has hit 107 career home runs.

“Every year, since we started our Foundation, our goal has been to increase our impact on kids in need—and this year, Honolulu Cookie Company is giving us a real boost,” said Victorino who now lives in Las Vegas with his wife and their three children.

“We are honored to partner with Shane and Melissa to support their Foundation, which is improving the lives of so many children,” said Ginger Waters, Vice President of Honolulu Cookie Company in a business press release. “Along with his countless other fans, we have long admired Shane not only for his talent, hard work and sportsmanship, but for his commitment to his family and community.”

The limited-edition “Flyin’ Hawaiian” Gift Box features 16 shortbread cookies in 8 classic flavors, including Dark Chocolate Kona Coffee, Chocolate Macadamia, Pineapple Macadamia and Lilikoi Mango. The Gift Box costs $14.95, and $2.00 from every sale will be donated to the Shane Victorino Foundation. As a bonus, 18 Gift Boxes will come with a surprise – an autographed Shane Victorino baseball card.

The gift boxes are available for sale online at the Honolulu Cookie Company website; as well as in both of Honolulu Cookie Company’s Maui retail locations at Whaler’s Village and Front Street (a third Maui store will open in the Shops at Wailea later this year); its Ala Moana and Ward Center locations on Oʻahu; and its retail store at The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian l The Palazzo in Las Vegas.

In addition, from Nov. 18 to Dec. 9, Honolulu Cookie Company is hosting a contest on their Facebook page in recognition of community volunteers. Participants are being asked to nominate a person who is an outstanding community volunteer. The three nominees who receive the most Facebook Likes will win a ball, bat or cap autographed by Shane Victorino.

Also, happening this weekend, on Saturday, Nov. 22, Honolulu Cookie Company will donate 500 Shane Victorino “Flyin’ Hawaiian” Gift Boxes to the 7th Annual Celebrity Dinner & Golf Classic, which is being held at the Wailea Golf Club Gold Course and Grand Wailea Resort on Maui.
