Young Brothers Accepting Applications for Community Grant Funds

Young Brothers, Limited is now accepting grant applications from non-profit community organizations in Maui County for its Community Gift Giving Program.

The program will award grants of up to $2,500 per organization.

The deadline to submit applications is this Friday, Dec. 12, 2014.

Community organizations that meet the following criteria are invited to submit applications for grant consideration:

• IRS Approved under Section 501 (c) 3 for non-profit status
• Purpose of organization is related to:
  o Health
  o Education
  o Civic and Community Service
  o Youth Activities
  o Cultural Enrichment
  o Environment
  o Special Community Projects

Application forms and information are available at the Young Brothers Hawaiʻi website under the “Community Gift Giving” tab.

Maui County Community Advisory Board members include:Roy Katsuda, Chairperson; Sandy Baz and Jo-Ann Ridao of Maui; and Alberta de Jetley of Lānaʻi.

Young Brothers, Limited, currently employs approximately 340 employees across the state.  The company has served Hawaiʻi since 1900, and is a publicly regulated water carrier, providing 12 weekly port calls from Honolulu to the state’s neighbor islands including: Hilo, Kawaihae, Kahului, Kaumalapau, Kaunakakai and Nāwiliwili.
