Residents in the Upcountry area of Maui are advised of curbside Christmas tree pick-up service being offered from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, and Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015.

The service is coordinated by the Upcounty Rotary, with a suggested $10 donation per tree going to support the organization’s community projects.

Since trees will be processed into compost, participating residents are asked to remove all decorations, including tinsel.

The service is available for residents in Pāʻia, Haʻikū, Makawao, Pukalani and Kula.

Trees can be set out on the curb before 8 a.m. on the day of pickup.  To schedule a pickup, call (808) 878-2177.
