Seabury Hall school invites the public to attend a free, informational event called “What Every Parent Should Know about Drugs” on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015.

Guest speaker Gary Shimabukuro from Laulima Hawai‘i will share information about the impact substance abuse has had throughout the islands and its implications for our schools and community. He will also discuss current trends in illegal, prescription and over-the-counter drugs that are affecting families in Hawai‘i.

Laulima Hawai‘i is an organization that provides drug awareness and prevention education for the workplace, schools and the community. The trainings are hard hitting, dynamic, motivating and show the harsh reality that “drugs are everyone’s problem.” The organization’s information comes from the heart in a common sense and sometimes humorous manner. Laulima Hawai‘i  is committed to creating a drug-free business, community, and family environment.

Seabury Hall’s Parent Organization invites all interested community members to attend.

The presentation will be held in Seabury Hall’s ʻAʻaliʻikūhonua Creative Arts Center at 6:30 p.m.
