MFD Douses Storage Building Fire in Wailuku

Maui Fire Department’s Engine 1, Engine 10 and Rescue 10 dispatched to a possible structure fire at approximately 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17.

Engine 1 arrives on scene to find smoke coming from a 16- by 20-foot storage building. Engine 1 (Wailuku) brought the fire under control and canceled all other responding units.

Damages are estimated at $6,000 to the structure and $4,000 to it’s contents.

The cause of this fire remains undetermined.
