The Maui resort Travaasa Hāna has been named a Grand Award winner by Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report for January, 2015. It is the only Hawai‘i resort to make the list, and one of only four selected worldwide.

“In a world not lacking in big, glitzy could-be-anywhere resorts, it is refreshing to find a place such as Travaasa Hāna that embodies the genuine ethos of its location, that has never confused swank with true style and that always provides superior comfort, food and service,” said Andrew Harper, editor-in-chief of Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report.

Independently run, Harper publishes candid reviews on travel destinations and selects the winner out of a list of favorites visited over the last 12 months. The awardee must be relatively small in size, genuine in character and originality, and possess strong and consistent personal services in a relaxing atmosphere.

“We are honored to receive this distinguished award,” said Adam Hawthorne, president of Travaasa Experiential Resorts. “We couldn’t have received this recognition without the hard work of our gracious and dedicated employees, who truly exemplify the best of Hawai‘i and genuinely perpetuate the spirit of aloha.”

Travaasa Hāna, located on the eastern coastline of Maui in the small town of Hāna, has received the AAA Four Diamond rating, as well as several other awards from the readers of Hawai‘i Magazine and Condé Nast Traveler.
