Lahaina Canoe Club Accepting Registration for Keiki

Keiki pre-registration for the Lahaina Canoe club opens on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, between 7:30 and 9 a.m at Hanakaʻōʻō (Canoe Beach) in Kāʻanapali.  Registration is free and open to children in grades 4 to 12.

The first pre-season practice will begin March 1, and will continue every Sunday from 7:30 to 9 a.m. In April, the club will register for the 2015 race season.

Established in 1971, Lahaina Canoe Club has been helping Maui kids learn valuable skills and lessons both in the canoe and at large in the community for more than 40 years. The club works to instill values of teamwork, respect, practice, personal accountability, preparedness, as well as technical skills necessary for paddling and racing in Hawaiian outrigger canoes.
