State Transportation Projects Result in Lane Closures on Maui

The state Department of Transportation will be conducting repairs and improvements on several roadways on Maui this week.

In East Maui, road restriping installations continue in the Wailua area of the Hāna Highway.  This will result in a single lane closure in both directions between Honomanū at Mile 14, and Waikani Falls at Mile 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

In Upcountry, road repaving is scheduled on Kekaulike Avenue in Kula, resulting in a single lane closure between Haleakalā Crater Road and the Kula Highway.

In Kahului, road repairs continue on the Mokulele Highway in the southbound direction from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Bridge maintenance continues on Waiehu Beach Road between Kukona Place and Ukali Street.
