Ha‘ikū-based solar installer Rising Sun Solar + Electric has received the SunPower “Commercial Regional Dealer of the Year” award outstanding performance in 2014.

The award recognizes dealers of SunPower products that provide exceptional customer service, expert system designs and installations, as well as expert knowledge and leadership in their region of North America.

“Rising Sun Solar + Electric is honored to receive the 2014 ‘Commercial Regional Dealer of the Year’ award from SunPower for our success providing the world’s highest efficiency solar systems and superior customer service to business owners,” said Matias Bessaso, co-owner of Rising Sun Solar + Electric. “This is the second consecutive year that we have received national recognition for our work as a SunPower partner. The relationship allows us to offer our customers industry-leading solar technology and significant electricity savings over the life of their systems. We are grateful and proud of this partnership.”

Rising Sun Solar + Electric installed 6mW of distributed solar generation systems in Maui and Hawaiʻi Counties in 2014. Some of the notable commercial jobs included a 425kW system for Maui Coast Hotel in Kīhei, and a 254kW system for Seabury Hall in Upcountry Maui.
