North: Head high to slightly overhead waves are expected today.
West: Pretty flat conditions are expected today. Traces of the north-northwest will trickle in.
South: Knee to waist high waves are expected today. Otherwise, shores that don’t catch the swells will be pretty flat.
Our current north-northwest swell continues to slowly fade. A recent storm near Japan is also expected to bring us a west-northwest swell late Monday into Tuesday.
Our current Tasman swell is expected to continue to slowly fade through Monday and Tuesday. Not much expected for the second half of the work week.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
